This class was previously called 'simple skirts' (simple skirts is now something a little more 'simple')

In this 'fashion design' class we will be creating a simple skirt from scratch.

You will learn how to measure yourself - then turn those measurements into a block - pattern and toille to fit you!

This skill will give you confidence to design and create simple skirt designs using your very own skirt block and dart manipulation techniques to create your own style to your own measurements.

Skills taught in this class by course instructor - Miss Libby Rose are:

- How to measure yourself (and others) correctly

- How to calculate and transfer those measurements on to paper creating a master 'block' to your own measurements.

- Tracing off the block - notches - pattern markings darts and meanings.

- Creating a toille for your shape (a calico 'draft' of a skirt) to ensure correct fit and discuss problems with fit and shape.

If time permits in the same evening Miss Libby Rose will show you how to design from the block - if not - book on another session for the next bit (or we will give you the handouts to try it yourself at home)
